Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use FragClips:

• Account data — email address, username, display name, and profile picture
• Profile data — optional information you add to your profile, including bio, profile banner image, social media links (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, TikTok, Kick), and profile customisation settings
• OAuth data — if you sign in via Google, Discord, or Steam, we receive your public profile information from those providers (name, avatar, and account ID)
• User content — screenshots, video clips, profile banners, post titles, and descriptions you upload
• Activity data — posts, likes, comments, follows, and timestamps associated with your account. We also record which posts you have viewed in order to accurately count unique views and prevent duplicate counting.
• Payment & subscription data — if you subscribe to FragClips Plus, we store your subscription status and a Stripe customer ID linked to your account. We do not store your card number, expiry date, or CVV — all payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you visit the site

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate and improve FragClips:

• To authenticate your account and maintain your session
• To display your profile, posts, and activity to other users
• To process payments and manage your FragClips Plus subscription
• To send transactional emails (e.g. email confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
• To track unique post views and prevent artificial inflation of view counts
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms of Service
• To analyze usage patterns and improve site performance

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Payment Processing

Payments for FragClips Plus are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe:

• Your payment card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure servers and are never transmitted to or stored by FragClips
• We receive and store a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status
• Stripe may retain billing records for legal and accounting purposes as described in their own privacy policy

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from your account settings.

4. Third-Party Services

FragClips uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and real-time data
• Cloudflare R2 — storage of all uploaded media files (video clips, screenshots, profile banners, game cover images)
• Stripe — payment processing for FragClips Plus subscriptions
• Vercel — hosting and content delivery
• Google, Discord, Steam — optional OAuth sign-in providers

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for them to function.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use the following client-side storage mechanisms:

• Session cookies — strictly for authentication, to keep you logged in between visits
• localStorage — we store a list of post IDs you have viewed locally in your browser to prevent duplicate view counts when you revisit a post. This data never leaves your device.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics that profile your behaviour across other websites.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your account and associated data within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for longer periods where required for legal or accounting compliance. Some data may be retained in backups for a short period after deletion before being permanently purged.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Object to certain uses of your data
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

FragClips is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure third-party payment processing, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of FragClips after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
